H1N1 vs the demonstration

2 deaths were reported yesterday. And the case was right under our nose, nearby our residence. Students of KUIS in Bandar Seri Putra were evacuated yesterday as a result of the deaths another 700 are having fever.
And surprisingly, yet there was an illegal congregation of several hundred people around KL last Saturday, heightening the chances of anyone of them contracting and spreading the virus easily. Just imagine that among these people, only 10 are carriers of the disease, then when they huddled together probably as a result of their supercharged adrenalin, powerful water spray or even for pick pocketing and nicking other people's valueables, the virus being airborne now has been/had been or even are in the process of being transmitted to the rest of the population like wildfire!

THE BAKING PROJECT

My one of lasagna tubs. Prepared four, but as usual gave three to other people. Looked a bit blackened on sides but was done on purpose. FYI burnt, crispy lasagna sheet tastes real yummy.

Kuching

Somebody took this photo for us at Museum Kuching.

This was taken when we were in Kuching. The trip was years back, but then I just figured out positioning the photo. Imagine that I started blogging 6 months ago and I just discover this particular function. Gosh! Anyway, enjoy!

2009

Every new year's eve, I fall asleep on my suede brown couch. This year was no exception. I believe and I contribute all of this sleepiness to my lack of resolution.
Why do we ever need a different resolution every year? Read any self-help books and bang!, there is a dictation of us needing to have objectives in life. So everybody does it. But it doesn't mean that an individual will have to start afresh on the booming of new year's firecracker or the click of the clock striking 12. Do it every day, every morning, every night or what is the harm of having a new perspective on Thursdays. Why not?
It's not that I don't have any resolution. I do - maybe I am just not resolute enough. Writing my thoughts down seems to be such a chore. Having this particular blog to focus on some positive energy churns out all of my strength.
Last week, all of my new students asked me if I weren't teaching what would I do. The first choice of answer - lady of leisure (boink, boink!). Lady of leisure in my world would definitely mean that the champ of space staring. Second answer - a farmer. Fortunately, the origin of all my students are definitely malays, if otherwise, they would either roll their eyes - what in the world she is thinking??? or the safest bet of all - they just laugh their heads off.
So maybe my 2009's resolution is to in anyway be economical in telling the truth to those who have sufficient will to listen to me. Strangely, I found this motivating as well as amusing.

The testing and evaluation course

Has been enrolled into a course. Nothing new since I learned it 10 years ago. However, it's never easy to construct exam questions. Researches in education won't change their direction for at least another 50 years. The good thing is when you gather around trying to figure out things you can understand how brains work. You will also understand why didn't your brain work like the rest.

HHHoliday, yeay!

Taking chances and start grabbing tickets to Sabah still hot from the oven for October holiday. We were the lucky few who got the break before the rising of fuel cost. Just that 9 of us have to really really plan the holiday since everything has become mega expensive.

But last two weeks leaving hubby at home, I went to Langkawi. It was a work trip. Of course, who would not taking chances doing a little bit of touring.

Check out the pictures!
